The municipality of Urjala was looking for a playground as unique as its location – the Nuutajärvi Glass Village. The key challenge was to find a solution that would blend harmoniously with the historical character of the surroundings while offering an engaging outdoor play space for children. At the same time, they aimed to create a space for physical activity suitable for older users as well, ensuring the area would serve all generations.
Leikkiset proposed an obstacle course in the shape of a whale from the Organic collection – a solution that, thanks to its unusual design, fits seamlessly into the surroundings. The water-themed atmosphere is completed by a dolphin-shaped springer. In addition, a street workout set was installed nearby, providing older users with a dedicated space for physical activity and promoting intergenerational use of the area.
Urjala gained a well-designed outdoor space where both younger and older generations can actively spend time in the fresh air. The area includes a distinctive, aesthetic playground that perfectly complements the unique setting of Nuutajärvi and offers children an engaging place to play. In addition, a street workout zone was added to provide older users with a dedicated space for physical activity, making the entire site an inclusive and multifunctional environment.
