Søndermark School in Vejle, Denmark, was looking for a solution that would breathe new life into its outdoor space while remaining consistent with the educational nature of the environment. The main challenge was to create a playground that would not only be visually appealing but also physically engaging and safe – tailored to the needs of the students and the aesthetic of the school grounds.
Elverdal proposed a spectacular crocodile-shaped climbing structure from the Organiq collection. The play route stretches from the crocodile’s snout all the way to its tail, guiding children through nets, ropes, balance beams, and sliding poles. The project was complemented by Single series swings, including a single-point nest swing and a five-armed swing designed for group play. All play elements were installed on a soft rubber surface, which visually and functionally unifies the entire space.
Søndermark School gained a unique play space that naturally supports children’s physical development, cooperation, and creativity. The crocodile-shaped structure has become a central feature of the school courtyard – eye-catching and inviting for active play.
